The highly-anticipated annual SBPC Camping Trip at KOA Petaluma is booked for July 9-12, 2026!
Our block of kabins/lodges will be held until November 28th, 2025, so call and make your reservation now! Even if you are on the fence about it, it’s better to get your booking now and then cancel later if you need to (or pass off to another member). Don't fret if you miss the November date. Give them a call and the KOA usually has something available
If you haven't come with us before, rest assured, this is glamping. The SBPC Annual Camping Trip is one of the best events of the year! Petaluma KOA has so much to offer for both adults and children. The campground is equipped with a pool & hot tub, petting zoo, giant jumpy pillow, arcade, children's playground, and a dog agility course! There is a Saturday pool party with a DJ and BBQ, Saturday evening ice cream social, hayrides, a morning coffee cart, afternoon snack shack, children's arts & craft activities, and other family entertainment.
SBPC activities include a Friday Night Welcoming Campfire with S'mores and Saturday Night Potluck Dinner.
This is a fun and family-friendly place to stay. Whether you're an expert camper or a novice, this is the place where you and your family can camp at your own level. There is a general store on-site or a Safeway a mile down the road for food restocking. (There is even a stretch of outlet shops right around the corner). For the pro camper, there are fire pits to cook every meal. If you don’t want to cook, there’s always cereal and sandwiches, and there are several kid-friendly restaurants a stone’s throw away from the site.
Each Kabin (yes, with a “k”) is equipped with a double bed, twin bunk beds, a BBQ, fire pit, picnic table and a covered porch with a porch swing, and even a flat-screen TV! Each Lodge can sleep 6 and has its own kitchenette and bathroom with a shower. We have reserved a block of kabins and lodges all in the same vicinity. Kabins/lodges are available for a minimum of 2 nights and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so get those deposits in early! If you have a specific kabin or lodge you would like, be sure to request it.
Some advice to you first-timers: each kabin has at least one electrical outlet inside the kabin and at least one outside the kabin. In years past, members have brought baby monitors and carried the receivers outside so the grown-ups could socialize by the campfire while the littles were sleeping safely and comfortably inside. A Pack'N'Play fits well between the beds in the center of the kabin, or the foot of the double bed which leaves the bed and bunks to the adults and the older kids. Our block of kabins is somewhat off to the side of the site, but the activities and bathrooms are still a quick walk away. If you have room, bring a wagon for transporting little ones and gear!
There is both a hospital and the Petaluma Police Department a few blocks down the road making it a safe and secure campsite. So even though this is camping, there are the luxuries literally a mile down the road. Even a Starbucks lingers near the KOA site and there’s a Costco not 15 minutes’ drive away.
Have any questions? Please ask! Lots of us go every year so we have packing lists and tips on a comfy camping experience.
Now is the time for you to reserve your campsite!
Kabins: (2026 rates, subject to change) $120 -175 per night. A deposit is required.
Lodges: (2026 rates, subject to change) $290-410 per night. Deposit required.
If you purchase the $30 membership, you may save $100 so be sure to inquire!
Since we are going during peak camping season, KOA will only guarantee our hold on the Kabins until August 26th and then they will open them up to the public (though I’ll try to get more time).
TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION:
Simply call the Petaluma KOA at 800-562-1233 and tell them you are with the group reservation under "SBP Club." (Make sure to say "SBP Club." If you say "San Bruno Parents Club," they might think you're with some of our SBPC alumni who had so much fun on the camping trip that they continue to go camping together every year even after they aged out of the club! IT IS THAT AWESOME.) DO NOT register online as they will not know what group to put you with. That's it!
So call today, once you have our confirmed spot, RSVP on TinyHood so we know who is coming and can plan accordingly.
Once I have a list of attendees, I’ll create a WhatsApp group so you can sign up for pre-camping potluck (get to know your fellow campers beforehand!) and Saturday Night Potluck. This is also handy for coordinating with fellow campers on stuff.
